The proposed methodology validates the stability of the fault detection system in the presence of system uncertainties. Numerical analysis is carried out to prove the effectiveness of the theoretical approach. Abstract

Automatic fault detection system is an important aspect of an industrial process. The technique of fault detection helps in minimizing equipment downtime thus making it a cost effective process. In this paper, an innovative model-based fault detection (FD) system is combined with interval type-2 (IT2) Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy system.
