Abstract

The objective of the following study was to characterize acrylamide and starch microgels produced from the microemulsion in a biphasic system of water and dichloromethane. The morphological characterization was performed through optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. In addition, the degree of swelling in water was evaluated and the presence of nitric oxide was determined spectrophotometrically by the GRIESS method. The gels were found to have spherical morphology and were able to release 98 mmol of nitric oxide per liter per gram. KEY-WORDS: Microgels, nitric oxide, controlled release. 23o CBECiMat Congresso Brasileiro de Engenharia e Ciência dos Materiais 04 a 08 de Novembro de 2018, Foz do Iguaçu, PR, Brasil
CBECiMat congress so Brasileiro de Engenharia e Ciência dos Materiais 04 - 08 de十一月2018,Foz do igua, PR,巴西
