Abstract
New technologies are changing nowadays maintenance processes and workflow. The role of employees and tasks that they perform will therefore undergo decisive changes in the future. As a result, companies will have to adapt the different roles that their employees play, and develop qualification strategies to cope with changing tasks. Current research has little investigated the competencies changes by the digitization of maintenance. This leads to a lack of Maintenance employees' competencies required to adapt the features of Industry 4.0. Thus, in this paper, we present the findings of a systematic literature review (SLR), consisting of quantitative and qualitative data, focusing on investigating and identifying Maintenance employees' competencies and based on analysis of maintenance 4.0 characteristics and existing skills in Industry 4.0.
