Abstract

The paper deals with thermal analysis, modeling and simulation of the Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) actuator for control and engineering. Main focus is put on the static and dynamic influence of individual parts of SMA, which may cause malfunction of actuator. New thermal parametric lumped model of SMA actuator was developed in Matlab-Simulink program in order to control SMA actuator. The parameters of the lumped model will be set up in accordance with continuous model made in FEM code ANSYS.
