Abstract
A dual-polarized horn antenna is proposed for K-band wireless communication in this paper. It has a common radiation aperture and two orthogonal wave ports. Hybrid feeding technology of waveguide and microstrip is adopted in the design. High isolation between the two ports can be achieved by adding the waveguide mode cut-off windows. The antenna is able to work well within the relative bandwidth of 21% in terms of good reflection coefficient, high isolation and low cross-polarization. The isolation between the dual-polarization ports is more than 60 dB and the cross-polarization is less than -50 dB throughout the whole band of 20.1 GHz~24.8 GHz.
