Abstract
Monitoring of the number of cells of toxicogenic species Pseudo-nitzschia calliantha and P. pungens carried out during one year with weekly sampling in the costal zone of the Karadag reserve. Temporary «bursts» of numbers were revealed. The size characteristics of populations of P. calliantha and P. pungens species were studied. It was determined at what stage of the life cycle is the majority of cells in the population at different times of the year.
