Abstract

Many innovative technologies are applied in the tire industry to increase tire kilometrage. In addition to technologies for increasing rolling resistance and wet grip, eliminating tread slip, monitoring tread wear due to sensors, it is possible to add to this group also RFID technology. The forecast for the global RFID market has an upward tendency. The main goal of the manuscript is to present knowledge for the design of the concept of intelligent transport with an emphasis on intelligent tires with embedded RFID tags.
