Abstract
The quadrature minimum shift keying (QMSK) modulation technique is analysed in mobile radio channel. the BER, obtained by computer simulation, is plotted for various distortions caused by mobile radio channel such as: Rayleigh fading, Gaussian noise, cochannel interference and Doppler frequency. It is found out that the coherently detected QMSK signal has similar performance to GMSK and /spl pi//4 QPSK signals considering Gaussian channel and cochannel interference. The QMSK signal performance in the Rayleigh fading channel with Doppler frequency shift are much worse as GMSK and /spl pi//4 QPSK signal performance.
