Abstract

With the increase demand of food production for a growing population, wireless sensor network (WSN) technology is found as a reliable, cost effective solution for the sustainable growth of agriculture production. To meet the requirements of precision agriculture, a test-bed was designed and deployed in the university horticulture garden for tomato crop. During deployment phase, it was observed that the successful validation of the test-bed in laboratory environment does not ensure the same behavior in real field conditions.
