Abstract

The novel types of electrodes segmentation patterns for metallized film capacitors were suggested. Electrodynamic destruction of segmented electrodes due to self-healing process was numerically calculated using COMSOL Multiphysics software. The dependence of electrodynamic destruction energy versus destruction time was used as a criterion of segmentation pattern efficiency. Advantages and disadvantages of novel electrodes segmentation types were determined. It was found that bridge-diamond segmentation is the most effective patterns configuration.
