Abstract

With the apparition of several norms of incompatible numeric mobile phones in the world, a terminal should be able to communicate from anywhere to any network architecture. A radio software concept is one of the new technologies that enables resolving convergence problem of telecommunication and information systems. The implementation of the different parts of this system is an important problem that is worth to resolve. In this paper, we propose a new CODEC implementation in FPGA technology for the TCH channel of the GSM standard that could be piloted with the radio software.
