The performed analysis of measured data made it possible to obtain additional information on the efficiency of acousto-optic interaction in the modulator and calculate its parameters. Abstract

The paper presents the results of measurements of the dependence of the optical radiation power of orthogonal TE and TM mode and the total output optical power of the acousto-optic frequency shifter modulator in the continuous and pulsed modes of the RF control signal. The work of integrated acousto-optic frequency shifter modulator is based on the collinear interaction of optical and acoustic waves in the LiNb03 substrate. The performed analysis of measured data made it possible to obtain additional information on the efficiency of acousto-optic interaction in the modulator and calculate its parameters. The studies have shown good agreement between theoretical and experimental data.
