Abstract
Along with the need to balance economic development with emission reductions, clean and efficient utilization of energy has remained a strategic and research focus on a global scale in recent years. Integrated energy system (IES), which integrates the production, transportation, distribution, conversion, storage and consumption of various energy sources enables the integrated management and economic dispatch of electricity, heat, gas, etc., and plays a critical role in the comprehensive utilization of energy. Building the key technology framework of IES and revealing its development status are of great significance for guiding the planning and operation decision-making of IES. This paper summarizes key technologies of IES and their recent development progress based on the previous technology-focused reports. The paper aims to prompt discussions and inform the further work needed to chart the path of IES in the future.
