Abstract

Vacuum Electronic Devices(VEDs) will continue to be the enabling technology for all kinds of vacuum electronic microwave sources with the most demanding specifications for use in both military and commercial systems. Vacuum-electronics technology is both old and new which is still evolving with inventions that take advantage of new materials, new interaction structures, and approaches to achieve record levels of performance and reliability. The high power and high frequency device is still the heart of detecting radars, electronic counter measures and medical accelerators. This paper introduce the new development trends and latest research results of VEDs from microwave and millimeter wave device and power module, integrated VEDs, terahertz, high power devices respectively.
