Abstract

Based on a Moodle platform to sustain student’s learning about manufacturing management in a virtual factory during a pandemic curriculum implementation period, this paper aims to adapt to the so-called ARCS model. Facilitating mode involved enhancing hands-on experience among students when they played different roles to accomplish a case study that is based on genuine CNC operational laboratories. We analyzed the proposed Moodle architecture for its communication objectives and prerequisites from several perspectives such as gamification, SCORM factors, and Moodle Educator Certificate elements. In the end, the developed platform not only collected feedback among participants for continuous improvement but also granted a learner’s control to support the learning ownership for an individual.
