Abstract

A Photo-Voltaic Array (PVA) model is developed in this paper using basic circuit equations of the Photo-Voltaic (PV) solar cells including the effects of temperature changes and solar irradiations. The output voltage of PVA is increased deploying a boost converter. The output of boost converter is fed to a SVPWM controlled inverter which supplies three phase ac to an induction motor. The investigation unravels the advantage of using PID controller with closed loop converters. MATLAB-Simulink has been used for analysis.
