Abstract
The work considers quasi-optical simulation methods of millimeter-wavelength electromagnetic fields of 5G mobile telecommunication systems. Small wavelength of the field compared with the computational area dimensions makes such simulation methods as finite difference, finite elements, and method of moments ineffective. The quasi-optical methods, in particular, the ray-tracing method and the uniform theory of diffraction, are more efficient in this case. The theory elements of these methods are considered, and examples of their application to field calculation in closed rooms are given.
