Abstract

In this paper, a modified optimized selective harmonics minimization scheme has been introduced to improve output power quality and equal power sharing among the H- bridge cells of a seven-level CHB Inverter. In this PWM strategy, dc sources are introduced as a variable along with the switching angles. This extra variable helps to satisfy each individual odd and non-triple-n harmonics up to 25t” and %THD to a precise power quality standards specified by CENELECEN50160:1999, and CIGREWG 36-05. Extensive analysis and simulations are carried out on a three-phase seven-level CHB inverter in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment.
