[Preventive restoration. Apropos of a technique].

Abstract

The purpose of this communication was to emphasize that some of the classic Black cavity preparations and the conventional restorative techniques for small occlusal dentin and enamel caries in young patients molars, are becoming more and more questioned. We have some ultraconservative materials and techniques, which include two other important advantages concerning to amalgam restorations--marginal seal and cariostatic action--just using calcium hydroxide, glass ionomer cement and pit and fissure sealant.
