Abstract

To conduct a comparison of energy storage devices (ESD), a mathematical apparatus based on the generalized Harrington desirability function, which can be used in further analysis of technical means, is used. A generalized quality criterion that allows us to evaluate not only quantitative but also qualitative characteristics of ESDs has been developed. A relatively accurate estimate is obtained in the form of a specific number (generalized desirability coefficient). For the first time, a method based on Harrington's desirability function for evaluating the quality of ESDs is proposed. The results of the work will allow us to evaluate and select the appropriate ESD or their combination in terms of efficiency and specificity of work on rolling stock.
