Abstract
Perpendicular recording is considered to have the potential to replace longitudinal recording when it runs out of steam. There has been renewed interest in the study of perpendicular recording systems. Our work focuses on the complete drive integration using perpendicular recording technology. Various aspects of drive integration activities are discussed, with emphasis on phenomena that are unique to perpendicular drive integration.
