Data collected were analyzed using mean and standard deviation to answer the research questions while ANOVA was used to test the hypotheses at .05 level of significance. Findings revealed that security guards agreed that solar powered security lights, camera and alarm system are effective strategies for the protection of electrical installations in tertiary institutions in Rivers State and year of experience did not significantly influence there opinion. It concluded that the adoption of these strategies will provide effective protection of electrical installations.
