Abstract
Currently, hybrid and electric vehicles have an increasing share in the number of road vehicles. The objectives of introducing such vehicles include reducing the negative impact on the environment as well as reducing their running costs. With the development of these vehicles, new risks arise. This paper presents key problems related to the development of hybrid and electric vehicles, issues that are unknown to conventional vehicles with internal combustion engines. The article focuses on identifying these risks and hazards that occur when a hybrid or electric vehicle is in use, but also when such a vehicle is not in use. Potential risks for emergency personnel in the event of an accident with such vehicles have also been identified. The article also deals with possible harmful events that may occur after or due to incorrect vehicle repairs. The problems of low sound volume of hybrids and electrical vehicles, as well as electric scooters left unmarked in the road were emphasized.
