Abstract
Nowadays Proximal Femoral Nail Antirotation (PFNA) is often used to cure the intertrochanteric fracture. After fracture healing, there would be some complications, such as osteoporosis and refracture, which are caused by stress shielding and stress concentration. The effectiveness of Functional Graded Material (FGM) PFNA on relieving complications by reducing the stress shielding and concentration is studied using finite element modeling analysis.
