Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify luminance requirements for outdoor commercial display. To find luminance requirements, both outdoor and indoor experiments were carried out by considering actual viewing conditions of outdoor commercial display. As a result, luminance requirements are determined brighter than 3,000 cd/m2 when the ambient illuminance is 50,000 lux.
