El estado del proceso administrativo de la microempresa en el sur del Istmo de Tehuantepec, México

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge and application of the management process in microenterprises of the southern Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Mexico. This is intended to generate inputs to the transformation of microenterprises into better equipped, innovative and job-generating organizations in a highly competitive global context. The methodological strategy of this research was to gather information via a stratified sample of the management functions: planning, organizing, directing and controlling. The results indicate that the level of education and age of microentrepreneurs are the most significant variables to explain the different levels of the management process. In addition, the detected deficiencies in the administrative functions within the microenterprises of the southern Isthmus of Tehuantepec are consistent with their life expectancies, which do not exceed four years.
