Abstract
The acid-alkaline properties of zinc and cadmium oxides and chalcogenides, forming ZnB6, CdB6 analogue rows were investigated with the use of complex techniques (hydrolytic adsorption mechanochemistry, IR spectroscopy). Patterns in the acid-alkaline property change in analogue composition changing, as well as under the influence of impact factors (gas adsorption, γ-irradiation, and dispersion) are found. Acid-alkaline property changing in the analogues row correlates to the changing in forbidden-band width. Increased adsorption activity of the adsorbents in relation to basic gases is predicted.
