The utilization of condition monitoring and fault diagnostic techniques can realize real-time monitoring of wind turbine systems to ensure the safety and stability of wind turbine operation and thus can reduce the cost in terms of both time and money. This paper introduces the possible faults during wind turbine operation with a particular focus on the gearbox part. As the core component of the wind power generation system, gearbox is of great significance to its stable operation. Abstract

The development of wind power industry has a great influence on reducing the consumption of coal resources and the pollution to the environment.
