Abstract

We demonstrate a 4-core single mode multi core fiber with a 125μm common cladding diameter. The attenuation coefficient of all 4 cores were ≤ 0.24 dB/km over 45 km length spool at 1550 nm wavelength. The inter-core cross-talk between 4-cores was lower than −25.4 dB over the 45 km spool.
