SUBJECT-INTEGRATED TEACHING OF ENGLISH AT A PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY: DIALOGUE AND CONVERGENCE OF METHODS

Abstract

In the teaching of foreign languages at the present stage of development of the economy and society as a whole, there is a process of serious transformation. In this regard, interdisciplinary connections acquire a special role, allowing to actualize the meta-subject potential of the discipline «Foreign Language». Attempts to integrate two academic disciplines within the framework of one lesson force specialists in the field of education to take a fresh look at the general methodological problems of teaching both a foreign language and natural science disciplines. The problems covered in the article are an attempt by the authors to comprehend and broadcast their pedagogical experience.
