The new calculation method of run expectancy

Abstract

We propose a new method for calculating Run Expectancy. Run Expectancy is easy to calculate and use. In fact, this is used in coefficients for various metrics. However, I was suspicious about whether this truly reflected a batter's performance. Thus, I have stated two issues, and came up with two revision proposals. In this essay, I will first describe what a Run Expectancy is, then state the issues, thirdly introduce a revision proposal, fourthly compare this with conventional methods, and finally discuss how this can be applied to a strategy called bunt.
