Abstract

Strategic Plan Dashboard: Transformative Learning 1 Cross-Cultural Professional Development on Haida Gwaii For almost a decade, the Faculty of Forestry has partnered with a local post-secondary education non-profit on Haida Gwaii to offer the Haida Gwaii Semesters (HGS). The HGS are third/ fourth-year five-course semesters that are based on Haida Gwaii and accredited by UBC. The Faculty of Forestry and the Haida Gwaii Higher Education Society strengthened their partnership in 2018 to establish the UBC Haida Gwaii Institute (HGI) within the Faculty of Forestry.
