Turismo MICE como estrategia para superar la estacionalidad turística, caso: Manta, Manabí, Ecuador

Abstract

The objective of this work was to recognize if the city of Manta as a destination has the conditions to develop MICE tourism. For this, the necessary segmentation parameters were made to collect information on hotel capacity, number of PAX per event, available rooms, connectivity problems, etc. The results show that Manta is a destination that meets the necessary conditions to be a MICE destination and develop this segment. It is necessary to implement event strategies to put them in months where there is little flow of tourists, and it is soon concluded that it is a fully developed destination in the province of Manabí.
