The article examines examples of primary and secondary synesthetic metaphors, identifies the most common types of synesthetic metaphors in English-language advertising texts. Abstract
This article is devoted to the study of the phenomenon of synesthesia in the context of English-language advertising in the linguopragmatic aspect. In the present study, synesthetic metaphors are divided into primary and secondary, i.e. combinations with exclusively intersensory transference; and combinations with transference between sensations and the emotional or psychological states of a person.
