Abstract

In this paper transient 2D and 3D finite element method models of linear magnetic gear have been developed. Results for magnetic force interaction and force density have been obtained and presented. The transient motion of the plungers of the linear magnetic gear has been investigated. The results from the modelling of the linear magnetic gear are carried out by the Ansys-Maxwell software. Results are showing relatively high force density of the linear magnetic gear design and low magnetic field reluctance at high traveling distance and moving speed.
