Abstract
A short overview of the biochemical and technical basis for measurement of beta-N-acetylglucosaminidase (beta-NAG, EC 3.2.1.30) is given. Advantages and disadvantages of various methods are discussed and the need has to be well founded to develop a new colorimetric assay.
