Abstract

The power grid is facing challenges to ensure the power quality and security while new and distributed generation units are increasing in the power grid. The share of electrical vehicles (EVs) are increasing in recent period to reduce the emissions and efficient use of resources. The EVs can play a sustainable role in grid stability through power infeed to the grid and act as a storage unit. However, the role of EVs in outage scenarios requires more investigations to ensure the quality and security prospective.
