First, the improved Lee filter using information entropy is proposed to reduce the noise and keep the detailed characteristic, then a threshold-based segmentation technique is employed to achieve cursory target detection, finally, the feature of target is extracted based on the directed gradient power (DGP). After above operation, the target is accurately detected.
