It is found that before the experiment, there are macro and micro differences in the engagement resource density between the experimental class's and the native English writers' articles, but after the experiment, these differences no longer exist, and the diachronic comparison of the experimental class's articles shows that this writing teaching mode has high effectiveness of promoting learning. Abstract
With the help of the samples T-test of IBM SPSS 25.0 and based on the comparison between the experimental class's and the native English writers' articles, this paper explores the effectiveness of teaching English argumentative writing in college from the perspective of Engagement System in Appraisal Theory.
