Abstract

In order to solve the ill-conditioned problem in GPS rapid positioning, an improved algorithm for ADPAM was proposed. By computing the optimal mirror plane, this algorithm achieved a maximized angle between the projected epoch subspace and its adjacent epoch. Thus, the optimization of ADPAM is implemented. For illustration, a measured GPS example is utilized to validate this algorithm and the results show this method has higher accuracy than several commonly used estimation methods even ADPAM. Consequently, it can be concluded that this method has better results for the solution of serious ill-conditioned problems.
