READING THE PROPHET FROM THE LANGUAGE OF NÂBÎ AND LOOKING AT ASMA-I NABIY WHICH APPEARS IN HIS POEMS, FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF THE CONCEPT OF EPITHET

Abstract

Prophet Muhammad was often remembered with respect, love and longing in religious and Sufi works written by Turks after they became Muslims, as well as in works whose subject matter was not directly religious and mystical. The identification of the highlighted qualities of the Prophet Muhammad, who is so widely mentioned, has been envisaged as a very important source in determining the conception of the Prophet in the hearts and minds of Muslim Turkish poets. Nâbî, who was an important representative of the wisdom tradition in the 17th century, was assumed as a good example in this regard; The Prophet and His attributes in the verse and mensur works were determined by scanning. The dozens of adjectives obtained were compared with the similarities and dissimilarities with the names in the esmâ-i Nabî texts, and it was discussed whether they could be explained by the concept of "epithet" used in folk literature in recent years. As a result, the titles of our Prophet, which were extracted from the works of an important Ottoman poet, and the vision of the Prophet brought by the Ottoman society from the past to those dates were tried to be revealed as neatly as possible.
