CERVIX CANCER – A STIGMA ON REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH

Abstract

Cervical cancer is the third most common malignancy in women worldwide, and it remains a leading cause of death for women in developing countries. It is caused by HPV (human papillomavirus) which is commonly invading the body through sexual route. Heavy vaginal bleeding with a foul odor and pain during intercourse is some common symptoms. It can be prevented by getting the HPV vaccine, early detection and treatment. The present review article helped us in identifying or screening this common problem and also to ensure good reproductive health by fighting against HPV infection.
