An elder-centered trip recommendation method leveraging crowd sourcing technologies

Abstract

It appears that major travel agencies in Taiwan have already put elder people's traveling needs into consideration by including a “Senior-limited” section on their Web sites. However, the issue will be the practicalness and effectiveness of the design. Based on a recent survey, over 90% prefer to plan trips by themselves, the results showed that the practicalness and effectiveness of the current design are questionable. In this research, we propose an elder-centered trip recommendation method based on crowd intelligence. Our design will take both the opinions from travel agencies and from the crowd into consideration to make a more fair suggestion.
