Content analysis of legislation, strategic and program documents, national reports, speeches was also carried out. In addition, a mixed research method was used as an expert survey (758 respondents) and an expert interview (14 people).The originality / value of the research lies in conducting a study based on the opinions of employees and teachers of Kazakhstani universities to determine the level of their perception of preventive control and accreditation.Findings. As a result of the analysis of the assessment of preventive control and accreditation and the perception of universities, more positive assessment of accreditation than of preventive control was revealed. Abstract
