IPMSM has been used due to the robust construction and extra reluctance torque production as compared to the surface permanent magnet synchronous motor. Based on the speed command the mode of operation will automatically change from constant torque region to flux weakening region. Flux weakening control algorithm has been developed for the purpose of high speed operation. This algorithm has been developed by considering maximum torque per ampere without exceeding the voltage limit and current limit. Abstract
