Discharge phenomena that occur locally result in the equipment being damaged and eventually being damaged if maintenance is not carried out. This paper observes partial discharge of air insulation in which the HFCT sensor is used. Observation and analysis of the PD pattern and pulse shape PD have been carried out to determine the insulation characteristics. The measurement and analysis results show that the PD will increase with increasing voltage and a large magnitude value, the pulse shape PD analysis can be used to observe PD characteristics.
