The system provides information such as channel markers, sunrise, sunset, low tide, high tide, and weather notifications on the ENC via the Internet and mobile devices using the user's location information or their set location. A map is provided in the tile format. To improve tile-map speed, the information is transmitted only when the user finds a new location and previous data on that client has been stored. Abstract

The expansion and increasing use of ocean-weather-monitoring data is the most important factor relevant to marine-related activities as well as residential and industrial growth in coastal areas. Natural disasters occurring in or originating from the oceans are largely functions of weather conditions.
