Topics and their Evolution in the research field of Teaching Chinese as A Foreign Language : A bibliometrics analysis based on VOSviewer

Abstract

Teaching Chinese as A Foreign Language (TCFL) has increasingly become an important cause in China’s international communication and a hot research area in language teaching and linguistic studies. To identify main research topics and reveal how these topics evolved since 2000, we conducted a bibliometrics analysis based on the CNKI literature database. VOSviewer, a software tool for constructing and visualizing bibliometric networks, was employed to illustrate the distribution and evolution maps in this field.
