Abstract

The design of a wideband Log periodic dielectric resonator antenna array is investigated for X band application. Aperture coupled feeding is used in this design to minimize the losses. The proposed array contains seven rectangular dielectric elements and results a wide bandwidth of about 34% covering the frequency range 9.23 GHz to 13.23 GHz with a peak gain of 9.06 dBi. The parametric study of bandwidths for different number of elements has also been presented here.
