The present work addresses an experience lived in a Municipal School accompanied by the PRP Pedagogical Residency Program with CAPES Coordination of Improvement of Higher Education Personnel in partnership with FACHUSCFaculty of Human Sciences of the Central Sertão in the Pedagogy course. The highlighted theme was developed through observations and needs within a school context. It was a constructive and encouraging residence, because when exercising the function of educating or helping those who need to learn, it shows how important is the partnership teacher, student, school, family and community. Everything that was accomplished had objective, therefore, the PRP came to prepare the licensing for the classroom and to make possible a communicative, educative and social experience. This work allowed writing about literacy and literacy, getting to know the Pedagogical Political Project, a democratic management and the teaching-learning process, enriching themes that inhabit the school universe. The work had qualitative classification and had names such as Libâneo (2013), Oliveira (1995), Vasconcellos (2012) and Soares (2003) theoretically supported this work.
